Now look for Control Panel, and double-click on it.
We want to make a network connection, as the Internet is just another computer network, thus double-click Network and Dial-up Connections.
Double-click on Make New Connections.
The network connection wizard welcomes you. You may click on Next.
As we want to create a connection to the Internet through a telephone line and a modem, click on Dial-up to the Internet.
Click on Next.
The Internet connection wizard welcomes you.
You already have an Internet account that you would like to setup.
Thus select I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area Network (LAN).
Click on Next.
We want connect though a phone line and a modem, thus select I connect through a phone line and a modem option.
In the Telephone Number region type 086 000 7249.
Remove the tick, un-tick, in front of Use area code and dialing rules.
Click on Next.
In the User name area type your dial-up username as supplied on your Atlantic contract, for example:

In the Password area type the supplied dial-up password on the Atlantic contract.
Click on Next.
In Connection name, type @lantic.
Click on Next.
The Internet connection wizard will now ask you Do you want to set up an Internet mail account now.
As the intention of this documentation is not to set up an email account, we will select No.
You may select Yes if you know how to do this, some of the information you will require to do this is contained in the Technical Information section at the
end of the document.
Otherwise, please refer to the relevant email setup documentation.
Click on Next.
Please un-tick To connect to the Internet immediately, select this box and then click Finish.
Click on Finish.
Windows is now set-up to connect to Atlantic.
All that is left to do, is to connect for the first time
Connecting to Atlantic for the first time.
You should now be back in the Network and Dial-up connections window.
Double-click on @lantic.
A connection window appears. Now click on Dial.
A window will appear, that states Dialing…
You might hear the modem dialing.
After a few seconds the window will state: Verifying user name and password…
The window disappears… congratulations you're connected onto the Atlantic network!
You may now open your browser and surf on the Internet.
To disconnect from Atlantic: Double-click on the two little flickering computers next to the time at the bottom right hand of your screen.
An information window appears, click on Disconnect.
